He is delighted to be married to Terri, but were not so sure she feels the same! After completing a two year stint as student youth pastor (studying at Ridley Hall) Adrian moved into full-time ministry here at NBC. Adrian isn't at all competitive. Ok, that's a lie. There isn't much in life that Adrian can't do, and it has been scientifically proven that he can't lose at any sport, despite people's best efforts to beat him. David graduated in theology after two years at Cliff College and went on to study for a further three years at Regent's Park College, Oxford. Born and brought up in East Africa she spent the first years of life thinking that safari parks were boring and most people live near a volcano. Her missionary parents brought her back to the UK just before her teenage years so that she could learn the British way of life before it was too late. An economist by profession she has worked in the British government for more than 15 years, traveling to the Americas, Central Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa to provide macroeconomic advice and support poverty reduction. While in Uganda she met the lovely Simon Lee which soon led to marriage and two young boys - Barney and Jonathan. She has four children, all married with children of their own, and she delights in being involved with them. She has been part of NBC life for over 40 years and has helped with children’s work, and working with the teens, and with prayer teams. Mavis has been part of the NBC Bereavement Team and the Way Inn Counseling Team. She has also been involved with the Jireh Home and Shepherd of the Hills Children’s Home in the Philippines. It thrills her to see how God has blessed the NBC community with Ministers who have led us with grace deeper into what He wants to teach us about Himself. She feels that following Jesus is an adventure and looks forward to where He leads her/us in the coming months and years. After realising Forensic Science was probably not the career for him he set up and runs his own photography business (MacMac Photography) as well as teaching Maths (his other love) and Photography at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts.
